Aadhaar is a 12-digit identity number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to the residents of India. The process for Aadhaar enrollment of a resident of the country involves biometric (photograph, iris-scan, fingerprints) and demographic data of residents (residence address information). In order to enroll for the Aadhaar card, a person is required to fill up a form that is available online on the official website of UIDAI.
